Student Exhibits & Performances at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History

Exhibit Showcase
One of the biggest thrills many National History Day participants have is the opportunity to show off their work at national museums in Washington, D.C.  This year, one exhibit entry from each NHD Affiliate will be chosen by the affiliate coordinator for display at the National Museum of American History, Kenneth E. Behring Center on Wednesday, June 17 from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM.  Students, parents, teachers and the public can enjoy these educational displays all day and during the "National History Night" open house. Students should be prepared to discuss their exhibits with museum staff and visitors. Displays must remain on view until 7:30 PM. Transportation will be provided for students and for one chaperone per entry. Exhibit entries can be taken down in the Stamp Student Union Grand Ballroom in preparation on Tuesday evening during the public viewing from 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
