The Department of Education (DOE) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) provide major grants to schools and school districts.

Teaching American History Grants
These DOE grants are available for schools or school districts to partner with National History Day to create workshops or institutes on American History. Landmark of American History and Culture: Workshops for School Teachers
These NEH grants are available for organizations to create one-week residence-based workshops for K-12 educators that use historic sites to address central themes and issues in American history. National History Day would be happy to discuss ways that we can enrich a current grant or partner with your organization on a new grant. Best Buy Te@ch Program
Besy Buy provides these grants to teachers enhance their classroom technology. Several NHD teachers have recieved grants of $2,500 to put video editing software and equipment in their classrooms for students to use when creating NHD documentaries. Click here to learn more about this grant.

Save Our History Grant Program The History Channel grant program encourages schools or teachers to partner with NHD or other history organizations to teach students about their local heritage and actively engage them in community preservation projects.
