Using NHD in Curriculum

Why should a teacher integrate the National History Day program into classroom learning? National History Day gets students excited about learning history. The program's interdisciplinary approach is designed to assist teachers and schools in meeting education standards while teaching students important skills such as reading carefully, collecting and evaluating evidence, drawing appropriate conclusions, thinking critically, and writing clearly.

National History Day can be implemented into the classroom. This Microsoft Powerpoint presentation was shown by a California teacher at the National Council for the Social Studies National Conference to explain how.
